Notes

Lieutenant Blake initially lived and rang in West Clandon where he is commemorated on a memorial in the tower as "R Blake". He subsequently lived in Ilford, Essex/East London and was commemorated on the Essex Association memorial as "JA Blake" even though there were no bells in Ilford at the time of the Great War. So the two entries in the Memorial Book with the initials "JA" and "R" both refer to Lieutenant Reginald Joseph Albert Blake.
