Comments

Harry Barron is listed in the Roll of Honour for the Lincoln Diocesan Guild as "Bishop H Barron, Corpl., 7th Royal Sussex." and "B H Barron" was also inscribed on the Lincoln Diocesan Guild War Memorial at Lincoln Cathedral. However, at Kirton in Holland itself, both the Roll of Honour in the Church and the local War Memorial show simply "H Barron". Further research has confirmed that "Bishop" was not one of Barron's Christian names but was the surname of another local ringer J Bishop. We therefore believe that the LDG Roll of Honour and its War Memorial in Lincoln Cathedral incorrectly show Bishop's surname as Barron's first Christian name.
