Central Council Weekend 5-7th September

Niagara Conference Centre, Sheffield

I am pleased to confirm the booking site is now open for the CCCBR ACM and Roadshow weekend taking place in Yorkshire.

You don’t need to be a CC Rep to attend either the ACM or the Roadshow.  You can book on as much, or as little as you want over the weekend, but booking is essential.  You can even order a Yorkshire 2025 polo shirt.

It all starts on the Friday with two ringing routes into Sheffield:

  1. Wortly and Eccelsfield
  2. South Anston and Whiston

Both routes then merge at St Marie’s Catholic Cathedral, then on to the Anglican Cathedral followed by the social event.

Saturday is the Ringing World AGM followed by the CCCBR Annual Council Meeting. Meeting papers etc will be available from the CCCBR website in due course. There’s another chance to network and discuss developments from the day at the social event in the evening.

Sunday sees the roadshow at the conference venue with lots of exhibitors in the fields of engineering, leadership, heritage, skill and inclusion.  There will be a number of mini rings available and some interesting talks and interactive sessions:

  • Gareth Davies – “Ringers… a scandal to the Church, and a disgrace to themselves”
  • Tina Stoecklin – “What does karate teach us”?
  • Jayden Milby – an interactive workshop on all you need to know about creating engaging media content – bring your tablet or laptop along!
  • Andrew Slade – Ringing 2030 – a Yorkshire Association perspective

In the run up to the Central Council weekend in September, we will be sharing regular updates on some of the attractions of the weekend’s events.  Confirmed exhibitors include those specialising in hardware, peal boards, ropes, membership groups.

Full details of all exhibitors and speakers will appear in the final version of the weekend programme.

Book your place, for as little or as much as you want here: https://events.cccbr.org.uk/product/annual-meeting-2025/

Booking is essential, so don’t delay.  The deadline is 17th August 2025.
