Biographies Committee
The Committee's objective is to keep a record of the ringing careers of all
ringers who have served on the Central Council. When a member or former member
dies, the relevant information is written on a page in one of a series of
books which commemorate Central Council members. In addition this information
may be used to help in the writing of an obituary or it may be used as
material for future articles in The Ringing World. The information
obtained forms part of the history of the Central Council.
Forms
All Members who have never done so are asked to print out and fill in a copy of the
Biography Sheet and return it as soon as possible,
with a copy of a recent photograph, to the committee chairman at the address shown.
The committee would be grateful to receive a Biography
Update Sheet from any current or former Member who has not submitted either form
in the past six years.
Terms of Reference
To maintain an account of the work and general ringing activities of past and present
members of the Council.
Committee Membership
The following six members were elected at the Central Council meeting on May 26th 2008
at Newcastle upon Tyne. In accordance with the change to the Rules two of these will
retire at each of the next three annual meetings and will be eligible, with any other
nominated candidates, for election for three-year terms.
