The Young Ringers Hub is a one stop shop for all things youth ringing and is now live. This is a new website developed and funded by the Central Council of Church Bellringers as part of the Ringing 2030 initiative. The objective of the website is to enable more young people to access bellringing and keep them ringing.
Young Ringers Hub – Young Ringers Hub
The Young Ringers Hub consists of four sub sites, three of which are now live – University Ringing, Under 18s and the Library. We will be working on a fourth ”Development Pathways” site later this year, when resources allow.
University Ringing – what’s included?
- A comprehensive directory of University societies and where to ring where there isn’t a society
- Links to enable you to find somewhere to ring
- Events e.g. NUA and SUA
- Resources – Recruitment & Development, running a society and looking after your tower
Under 18s – what’s included?
- Links to enable you to find somewhere to ring
- Comprehensive details of all youth groups
- Information and links to competitions e.g. the RWNYC
- Information for parents
- Uniformed Groups playbooks and guidance
- School lessons plans are coming soon. These are curriculum-based lessons that explore bellringing through the lens of the various year 6 subjects. We really need help from people who have experience of marketing in education and anyone who has an interest in rolling this out.

Development Pathways – what is this?
The objective of this project is to keep young people ringing and develop their ringing and leadership skills. We will focus on existing centres of excellence and build networks to support and sustain the development pathways.
We will start scoping this out later this year and more support will enable faster progress. We plan to trial the concept in York and Bristol and will use the learning from the YCRA.
