This years’ CCCBR AGM weekend is being held in Devon between 6-8th September. The centre of the action will be in Exeter.
Friday 6th September
Two ‘tower grab’ routes will be available as you make your way towards Exeter:
Route 1
Piglet Ring, Uffculme
Uffculme (8, 21-3-6)
Cullompton (10, 19-2-4)
Broadclyst (8, 20-2-25)
Route 2
Honiton (8, 12-2-27)
Feniton (6, 9cwt)
Clyst Honiton (8, 18-2-11)
There will be a requirement to sign up to these and a small charge made to cover tower donations. Anyone coming by train may be able to arrange collection from a nearby station and transport around one of the routes. Timings etc will be available in the sign up process in due course.
Friday evening ringing & social arrangements
17:30 – 19:00 Exeter, St Petrock (6, 5-0-0) – Welcome desk for collection of badges and papers
18:30 – 20:00 Exeter, St David (8, 11-2-23)
20:00 onwards gathering at The Orangery at The Imperial (Wetherspoons), New N Rd, Exeter EX4 4AH. We have The Orangery put aside for socialising and eating. There will be no formal food arrangements, you will be welcome to eat at The Orangery or make your own arrangements and join us for drinks.
Saturday 7th September
Venue: WestExe School, Hatherleigh Road, Exeter, Devon EX2 9JU – PLEASE NOTE: No animals (expect support dogs) allowed. ABSOLUTELY no smoking/vaping within the school grounds at any time. There will also be a couple of mini rings available for your entertainment.
9am Welcome Desk open for collection of badges and papers, and signing in for the Ringing World AGM and the CCCBR AGM
10:00 – 10:45 CCCBR Workgroup presentations
11:00 – 12:30 Ringing World AGM
12:30 – 13:45 Lunch – grab bags MUST be pre-ordered, Sainsburys and other alternatives nearby
14:00 – 17:00 CCCBR AGM
For visitors, non-CC Reps looking for something to do, a tower grab tour is being arranged, details will be provided nearer the time.
19:00 onwards at Topsham Brewery, Maclaines Warehouse Haven Rd, Topsham Brewery 1, Exeter EX2 8GR – buffet available (MUST be pre-ordered). N.B. unfortunately there is no disabled access to top floor. Plenty of other food outlets in the area.
